Amy Macdonald to play King Tut’s gig

Amy Macdonald is coming back to King Tut’s: the Glasgow singer, songwriter is the latest big-name artist to sign up for the Sunday Mail’s 7Nights Sessions – where musicians go back to where it all started for them – with all proceeds going to the amazing music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins. For 31 year-old Amy, it’s a gig she’s been wanting to play for some time as both the venue and charity are close to her heart.
She said: “I’m so excited about it. It’s actually something that’s been spoken about for a while.“I was asked to do it a few years ago and it just didn’t work out with timings, so I’m delighted I’m able to do it this time.“I have so many amazing memories of King Tut’s, going right back to playing there for the first time and thinking, ‘Wow, I’ve made it.’
